Labuan Bajo, 16 November 2021_Menindaklanjuti Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sebelumnya dari Program Menara Vokasi dengan tema “Membangun Peran Pentahelix sebagai Akselerator Daerah” yang bertujuan untuk menunjang pembangunan perekonomian di Manggarai Barat melalui peningkatan potensi dan kualitas SDM yang ada. Maka Politeknik eLBajo Commodus kembali mengadakan FGD-II dengan Tema “Penguatan SDM Unggul Melalui Vokasi dan Kolaborasi Pentahelix” yang diselenggarakan pada hari ini di The Jayakarta Suites Komodo Flores. || Labuan Bajo, November 16, 2021—Following up on the previous Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of the Menara Vokasi Program, themed “Building the Role of the Pentahelix as a Regional Accelerator,” which aimed to support economic development in West Manggarai by enhancing the potential and quality of existing human resources, eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic once again held FGD-II with the theme “Strengthening Excellent Human Resources Through Vocational Education and Pentahelix Collaboration,” which took place today at The Jayakarta Suites Komodo Flores.

Pada sesi pertama FGD ini membahas topik terkait Citra Vokasi baik dari Perguruan Tinggi Politeknik eLBajo Commodus yang menghadirkan Ibu Noviana Halim Ketua Yayasan Bangkit Anak Negeriku sebagai Narasumber, juga perwakilan dari SMK Vokasi yang manghadirkan Ibu Hortensia Herima, S.Pd Kepala Sekolah SMKN 3 Komodo sebagai Narasumber, dan Chief Business Officer AFE Corps dan juga Dosen PKN STAN Ibu Laila Chairi. Dalam kesempatan ini Ibu Noviana Halim juga menyampaikan bahwa melalui pendidikan Vokasilah Manggarai Barat bisa meningkatkan SDM yang unggul yang tentunya tidak bisa terlepas dari kolaborasi Pentahelix juga. Selain itu Kepsek SMKN 3 Komodo juga menyampaikan bahwa saat ini minat masyarakat terhadap pendidikan Vokasi dinilai semakin meningkat dengan melihat prospek kerja yang lebih baik dengan pilihan-pilihan jurusan yang sesuai dengan minat siswa. Di sisi lain Ibu Laila Chairi menyampaikan bahwa untuk mewujudkan SDM Unggul, hal dasar yang perlu dilakukan adalah dengan mengubah pola pikir Pendidikan Vokasi dari skill full ke tingkat Profesional melalui media sebagai corong komunikasi publik. || The first session of this FGD discussed topics related to vocational education, featuring Ms. Noviana Halim, Chair of the Bangkit Anak Negeriku Foundation, as a speaker from the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic; as well as representatives from vocational high schools, including Ms. Hortensia Herima, S.Pd, Principal of SMKN 3 Komodo, as a speaker, as well as Ms. Laila Chairi, Chief Business Officer of AFE Corps and a lecturer at PKN STAN. On this occasion, Ms. Noviana Halim also noted that it is through vocational education that West Manggarai can develop high-quality human resources—a process that is, of course, inseparable from Pentahelix collaboration. In addition, the Principal of SMKN 3 Komodo noted that public interest in vocational education is currently on the rise, driven by the prospect of better job opportunities and a range of program options that align with students’ interests. On the other hand, Ms. Laila Chairi emphasized that to cultivate high-caliber human resources, the fundamental step is to shift the mindset surrounding vocational education from merely skill-based training to a professional level, using the media as a channel for public communication.

Di sesi selanjutnya dengan topik terkait Bussiness Meeting Industri dan Pendidikan Vokasi, Bapak Otto Purnawarman Tim Menara Vokasi Kemendikbudristek 2021 menyampaikan bahwa perlu adanya kurikulum yang fleksibel dengan dirancang bersama industri ataupun komunitas daerah baik itu di tingkat SMK maupun Perguruan Tinggi agar terjadi keselarasan yang mendukung kolaborasi Pentahelix ini. Beliau juga menyampaikan bahwa dalam pembentukan strategi komunikasi dan kolaborasi, tidak hanya sebatas pada Mou dan MoA saja, melainkan juga akan berkelanjutan ke tahap pelaksanaan dan pengawasan. Dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan dari Bapak Sigit Endrasetyawan GM Puri Sari Beach Hotel Labuan Bajo menyampaikan bahwa untuk mendukung penguatan SDM di Manggarai Barat, Hotel Puri Sari juga sudah menjalankan Kelas Industri untuk siswa/i SMK yang bekerjasama dengan SMKN 1 Labuan Bajo. || In the next session on the topic of Business Meetings between Industry and Vocational Education, Mr. Otto Purnawarman from the 2021 Vocational Education Tower Team at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) stated that there is a need for a flexible curriculum designed in collaboration with industry or local communities—whether at the vocational high school (SMK) or higher education level—to ensure alignment that supports this Pentahelix collaboration. He also noted that the development of communication and collaboration strategies should not be limited to Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) alone, but must extend to the implementation and monitoring phases. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Sigit Endrasetyawan, General Manager of Puri Sari Beach Hotel in Labuan Bajo, who explained that to support human resource development in West Manggarai, Puri Sari Hotel has also been conducting Industry Classes for vocational high school students in collaboration with SMKN 1 Labuan Bajo.

Di akhir kegiatan FGD II ini, masing-masing unsur pentahelix dalam kelompok-kelompok kecil sudah mengambil langkah dengan menyusun program-program kerjasama yang telah disepakati dan akan dituangkan dalam MoU dan Perjanjian Kerjasama. || At the conclusion of this second FGD, each component of the pentahelix, working in small groups, had already taken steps to develop the agreed-upon cooperation programs, which will be formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement.
