Labuan Bajo, March 22 2024_On the anniversary of the 6th Anniversary of eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic, based on the spirit of togetherness and commitment to cleanliness and environmental beauty, it was again emphasized through clean actions initiated by the entire campus academic community. With the theme “Exploring Local Potential and Making Real Contributions”, students, lecturers and campus employee staff work together to clean places of worship around campus as a form of appreciation for the surrounding community and also as a form of gratitude for the campus’ achievements in the fields of education and science.
This activity was carried out as a real effort to strengthen harmonious relations between the campus and the surrounding community and as a form of campus social responsibility towards the surrounding environment. Houses of worship included in this clean action include mosques, churches and monasteries which are places of worship for the surrounding community. This is also clear evidence that Polytechnics are educational institutions that not only care about the development of science and technology but also shape the character of young people with a sense of tolerance towards ethnic, religious and racial differences in this beloved archipelago.
Chairman of the 6th Anniversary Committee of eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic, Mrs. Dr. Ni Wayan Noviana Safitri, SE., M.Si stated, “We are very proud to be able to carry out this house of worship as part of the commemoration of the 6th Anniversary of our campus. “This is not just a cleaning activity, but also a symbol of our commitment to contribute positively to the surrounding community and maintain the cleanliness and shade of places of worship, which are holy places for all religious communities.”
This house of worship clean-up action is also part of the campus social responsibility program which consistently encourages active participation in maintaining a clean environment and strengthening synergy between the campus and the community.
The series of events for the 6th Anniversary of the PLC will be held from March 2024 to April 2024, which is the highlight of the event. Events held include Opening Dies Natalis, PLC Got Talent, Future Leader English Debate Competition (FLEDC), PLC Fun Walk and Zumba, Local Culinary Competition, Excellent Service Competition, E-Sport Mobile Legend, Tiktok Challenge Competition, and Blood Donation Action.
